John D. Mikuzis, D.O., FAAPM&R, Board Certified
Dr. John D. Mikuzis is a Board Certified physician with extensive experience in musculoskeletal and rehabilitation medicine, men’s health issues, and health and wellness. He has trained other physicians in the use of Botox for the treatment of headaches, pain, and spasticity, and has been the Medical Director of Action PM&R since 1999. He has studied extensively and trained with physicians including programs sponsored by The American Association of Orthopedic Medicine, The American Academy of Osteopathic Medicine, The American Osteopathic Association of Prolotherapy Regenerative Medicine, Boston BioLife, and The Academy of Preventative and Innovative Medicine. Dr. Mikuzis continues to utilize innovative and research based treatments to maximize patient recovery and strongly believes in education his patients to be their own advocate in living a healthy life.

Nicholas Georgelos, D.O., Board Certified Physician
Nicholas Georgelos, D.O., is a graduate of Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his specialty training with the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, which provided him with a breadth of experience and training at the university research hospital (UT Southwestern), Parkland Hospital, and the North Texas VA. Dr. Georgelos takes great pride in the level of care he provides his patients and believes listening to his patient’s concerns and understanding their perceptions is crucial for problem solving ways which allow them to live their best life. His interests include sports medicine and non-surgical orthopaedic care, regenerative medicine, spasticity management, neurologic recovery, and headache treatment and prevention. He has experience working with patients with non-professional sports injuries, strokes, spinal cord injuries, age-related arthritis, amputations, among many others. When he’s not at work, Dr. Georgelos enjoys cheering on the Chicago Bears.
